more boners


the maya skin shader is a bitch to use. too many nobbies and stupid shit to control. ive been trying to get it to work for the past 2 weeks (well i mean not the whole time...except for the last 3 days ive been up to 5 working on it and being awesome.) and its finally coming around. I wasnt a bitch and took the easy route, no I decided to do perhaps the most difficult thing to make "photorealistic". its due in a week, and I doubt it'll be "photoreal" but getting this shader down pat is essential for me moving forward. better sooner than later.

so here is what ive got so far. its okay, you can laugh/





its getting there.

and yes, there will be eyes

this is pretty good. lowres textures in the render or is that DOF? cant tell.

its an hdri so yeah low res. its got a loooooooooong way to go

well only low res because its a sphere with the image mapped onto it for lighting sake and its not even supposed to show up in a final render, but it just happened to actually look intentional.
